Our day to day lives at
law school were defined by more than just our classes. Candida's
Taverna, our elected Law Student Association, LSLAP, Legal Clinic, Faculty
Student Council among other organizations influenced our law school
experience. In 1991, LSLAP moved to expanded
facilities. Our Faculty Student Council was involved in the search for
a new Dean, and the revamping of the first year student curriculum.

Candida & Penny Lipsack |
As third year students, we held the position of editor
in chief of: the student paper The Informer; the two faculty journals, The
Canadian Journal of Family Law and UBC Law Review; and our yearbook, The
Legal Record. Each providing their own influence.
Candida's Taverna provided a forum for developing
relationships, retreat, and debate.
Formal awards recognized academic excellence.
Personally, I don't like awards, but have included everyone else's here for
their posterity. |
