Unless you could afford the time an expense of escaping to
Mt. Baker or Blackcomb, Vancouver in the winter tends to be void of ice
and snow. Those of us from back east (which is generally everyone)
found ourselves missing, in some small way, a real Canadian winter.
An action filled game of broomball on a Sunday afternoon went a long way
to filling our winter desires. Whether you played or watched the
game, you really tended to feel BC was a little bit more like home.
