Although the Medical Legal Club is a recent addition to the Faculty of Law it has well over sixty student members.  The goal of the club is to foster better overall understanding between the medical and legal professions through noon lectures, seminars and social events.  The club is also associated with the Medical Legal Society of BC, two committee members sit on the steering committee of the society and all members are welcome to attend the evening seminars sponsored by the Society.

Some of the events held this year included: lectures dealing with medical-legal ramifications of advances in reproductive technologies, access to health care, transplantation of fetal tissue, a case commentary on disciplinary hearing,  and the issue of causation in the medical context; wine and cheese receptions hosted by Harper Gray and Bull Houser; and our club beer-up and member party/dinner.  In all an active and productive year.
